Johnson Agogbua
Managing Partner

Mr. Johnson Agogbua is a leading Internet technologist and entrepreneur. He has co-founded several leading technology companies, including Movaz Networks, an advanced optical network equipment company; Broadband Office (BBO), a national telecommunications and Internet services provider; and Zephion Networks, an MPLS-based programmable Internet services platform (acquired by Masergy). He served as President of Zephion Networks; at BBO, he was the Vice President of Engineering, where he oversaw product development, system integration, and the infrastructure build-out of BBO's network and application services. Mr. Agogbua also served as the Senior Vice President of worldwide sales and customer service during his tenure with Movaz as Senior Operating Officer. Mr. Agogbua currently consults to multi-national companies like British Telecom and several equipment manufacturers.

Prior to that, Mr. Agogbua served as head of Global Network Engineering and Architecture at UUNET Technologies (now part of Verizon Business), where he was in charge of the world’s largest Internet network. Prior to his tenure at UUNET, Mr. Agogbua served as Vice President of Advanced Network Engineering and Technology in the Business Technology Organization at Salomon, Inc.

Mr. Agogbua sits on the board of Jazuc Group, MTS 1st Wireless and KMJ Group. He also serves on the advisory board of start-up systems and services companies as well as a member of the United States FCC Technological Advisory Council. “Network World” magazine named Mr. Agogbua as one of the 50 “On Power’s Edge” in 2000. Mr. Agogbua was also recognized by “The NetEconomy Magazine” as one of the foremost “Telecommunications Revolutionaries” in the magazine’s Premiere Issue.

Dale Register
General Partner

Dale Register has over 30 years of domestic and international executive experience. He brings a team-oriented bottom-line driven approach to business that has enabled him to envision and execute strategies to enhance the profitability of companies----whether small or large, startup or established.    Most recently Dale was Managing Director of Network Design for British Telecom (BT) and managed a $4 Billion capital program. While the broadband customer base grew from 250,000 to 5 million in 3 years he held the overall budget level virtually constant.   Mr. Register also played a lead role in the 21st Century Network (complete IP replacement) business case design and (Board) approval for BT.

Prior to BT, Dale was the COO for a start up company in the UK (186k Ltd) where he led the completion of a country wide fiber/broadband network and delivered an innovative IT infrastructure ( all on schedule and under budget.)  Register was an SVP with another start up, NETtel in Washington DC before going to the UK.  Previous challenges included SVP roles with Citizens Communications and with a GE Capital start up.  Dale's early career with BellSouth included two years in Sydney, Australia where he was responsible for all network delivery for Optus Communications (now SingTel Optus) from the beginning.  Mr. Register has repeatedly demonstrated successful delivery of challenging results.

Dale holds a BSEE degree from the University of Florida, an MS in Management from MIT and a professional engineering license.

Manouch Khezri
General Partner

Mr. Manouch Khezri has over 20 years of experience in direct sales management, sales operations, channel sales, and business development. Most recently he served as Sr. Vice President of Global Sales at Movaz Networks, a leading supplier of DWDM transport and switching equipment, where he was responsible for sales growth from zero to over $100 million per year. During his tenure, Mr. Khezri, Broadened Movaz’ market presence by introducing the company’s products to the tier 1 carrier, Government, Research and Education, MSO, IOC, and international customers. Manouch was responsible for generating over $250M of cumulative revenue at Movaz Networks; he was also responsible for signing the multi million dollar NSF funded DRAGON contract, which led to the development of Multi-degree ROADM.

Prior to joining Movaz, Manouch was Vice President, Sales and Business Development, for Sedona Networks, responsible for defining product requirements, establishing strategic alliances, as well as overseeing distribution and sales activities for the company’s IP based Multi-Services Access Switch. Before that, he was AVP sales and BD, Premisys Communications, responsible for direct sales management of AT&T account as well Global OEM relationship. During his tenure at Nortel, Mr. Khezri was responsible for introduction of the Fiberworld product family into the NYNEX region.

Manouch earned his BSEE degree from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.
